Literacy 44
North Vancouver has made all of their literacy and reading graphic organizers, as well as lesson ideas, freely available on their website ready to download as PDFs. So many to choose from and available in both English and French. Such a great way to scaffold learning for students. |
Right to Read Executive Summary
The Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) released its Right to Read Inquiry Report on human rights issues affecting students with reading disabilities. It called for critical changes to Ontario’s approach to early reading, in areas such as curriculum and instruction, screening, reading interventions, accommodations and professional assessments. Educators across Canada are taking note. This is an eye-opening report and provides a pathway to change for all literacy teachers. |
